our Military is being harmed by the political correctness that comes from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

This Saturday (01/11/14) ‘Our Urban Story’ tackled head on the controversy surrounding Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey. Barbara from Harlem and her co-host urged listeners to steer away from judging Governor Christie as guilty of knowing about the deliberate traffic jam until all of the facts about the situation are known. We were particularly disturbed by the attitude of a number of conservative talk show hosts who went so far as to hang up on Barbara from Harlem, simply because she wanted to express her view when she called into their radio programs.
That led into a discussion of how conservatives who prejudge and harshly criticize Republicans are doing the job of the Left in the media. We are not saying that conservatives should not criticize Republicans, but our point is that we must recognize that the real threat lies emanates from the Democrats, because far too many believe in Socialism. Too many on the Left do no respect the founding of this country and are doing their best to transform our nation into a socialist country (God forbid).
Our “Urban Story” also acknowledged the passing of former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. Mr. Sharon was one of the last warriors who fought to help establish the modern state of Israel in 1948. He fought in the Israeli Army and rose to the rank of Commander. He will be remembered as someone who was willing to risk his life to preserve the existence of the State of Israel.
We also touched on the abysmal number of jobs added in December.
Finally, we once again turned to the crises engulfing the black community. We offered some solutions from a blue print that we have created that lists a number of solutions to the problems. We will continue once again next week.
Next Saturday, we will also discuss how our Military is being harmed by the political correctness that comes from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. So, please join us next Saturday at 3:00. Thank you.
On Saturday, January 4, 2014,”Our Urban Story” focused on, in large part, the on-going crises that are engulfing the black community. Host Barbara from Harlem and her co-host, Bebe Diamond, discussed the number of issues that are negatively impacting the quality of life in the black community, particularly within the inner-cities of America, issues such as the out-of-wedlock birth rate, the youth violence, lack of educational standards, just to name a few, which are tied to the break-down of the family. The co-hosts cited some sources of information, including the seminal article authored by the late Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan entitled “Defining Deviancy Down.”
Next week, “Our Urban Story” will continue the discussion, but will also offer some solutions that should ameliorate the problems and begin the process of healing, which includes but is not limited to restoring the family, that is so desperately needed in our inner-city communities.
